Are you a “Red Tribe” or a “Blue Tribe”

This is totally funny…the idea is that lifestyle choices (what kind of beer you choose, where you shop etc) can predict whether you belong to the “red tribe” (republicans) or the “blue tribe” (democrats). Yet again I prove that I defy the stereotypes. Anyone who knows me will get a real kick out of these results (and will know that it is the farthest thing from the truth). HT: Monkeyfishing

I’m in the RED TRIBE!

What tribe are you in?

About throwingmarshmallows

I am a homeschooling mom to two sweet, energetic boys although I am probably not exactly what you would expect (definitely NOT your stereotypical homeschooler, if there is really such a thing). I support progressive political causes (yes, liberals can and do homeschool!) and I have found a spiritual home in the Unitarian Universalist Church. I have no real idea of how I want to use this blog, but will probably focus on homeschooling, things that I am learning from my boys, personal thoughts and opinions and maybe some liberal politics thrown in, who knows!

*LOL* I don’t put much stock in these things. I’m a Southern Christian home schooling momma – who votes Democrat. Someone close to me is a highly educated, northeastern female – and a lesbian to boot – who is a diehard Republican. *Smile* Beware of profiles.

  2. Oh I agree! I tend to surprise people in many ways…they look at certain things and assume certain things which turn out not to be true.

I get this a lot with homeschooling as well…in many ways I do not fit the mold as the “stereotypical” homeschooler. But who really does? I think that it surprises some people that homeschoolers are such a diverse bunch who hate to be categorized!

Eh, not putting too much stock in this one. It says I’m in the red tribe too, but not according to my voting history. Was it the monster truck vote or the Discovery Channel vote? Hmmmm.

That’s why I generally avoid words like “Liberal” and “Conservative” – people make all kinds of assumptions. I tend to lean left, but I am amazingly conservative on some issues.

I recently overheard a home school mom at a meeting saying that another mother was shocked to find out she was “liberal.”

“I didn’t know liberals home schooled!” she said.

I’m in the red tribe, too. Yup … must be that Monster Trucks vote. :-D

It seems that I, like my beloved homestate of Virginia, am in the “tipping” category! Cute quiz!

  7. Liberals are the unschoolers. :D (I know, sweeping generalization there too.)

I got “tipping” on the quiz, because frankly there was no “neither” option. :)

I got the same as Andrea. I’m with her on the ‘neither’. For at least half the questions that would be my answer :D
