Did you know?

That pushing the elevator button on the outside is not the same as pushing the elevator button on the inside? It it is definitely more desirable to push the inside. And is worth running over your brother to get there first. And worth arguing and debating with said brother until an agreement is reached where you both will press it at the same time.

This is Very. Important. Stuff.

About throwingmarshmallows

I am a homeschooling mom to two sweet, energetic boys although I am probably not exactly what you would expect (definitely NOT your stereotypical homeschooler, if there is really such a thing). I support progressive political causes (yes, liberals can and do homeschool!) and I have found a spiritual home in the Unitarian Universalist Church. I have no real idea of how I want to use this blog, but will probably focus on homeschooling, things that I am learning from my boys, personal thoughts and opinions and maybe some liberal politics thrown in, who knows!

  1. Heidi says:

    Oh, yes. I know this.

In our family, kid A pushed the outside button, Kid B pushes the inside button, and tey switch for the return trip.

And they know if there is too much arguing, Mom is more than happy for all to take the stairs.

  2. LOL! That was actually how they were doing it for awhile but something changed and they both felt they should be able to hit the inside button *both* times. We’ll see how long this compromise works out.

I will definitely keep the stairs option open and in mind!
